NH 110 Principles of Health Ministry and Health Assessment, 4 credits   ($457.50 or $300.00 if you already have the Video or DVD set)

§     Prerequisite required:  NH 101, NH 102.

§     Required reading:

o       Health Assessment a 10 volume DVD set, by Dr. James R. Overman, N.D. (supplied)

o       Study Guide:   Principles of Health Ministry and Assessment, by Dr. James R. Overman, N.D. (supplied)

§     Hours: 100 total hours, 20 hours viewing videos, 30 hours on-line with study questions, 49 hours for assignment projects and 1 hour for the exam.

Exceptional health assessment techniques must be learned to be able to assist the client in achieving exceptional health.  This method includes understanding that there are only a few causes of health problems; therefore, the student does not need to be intimidated by the thousands of named diseases and syndromes.  The basic questioning techniques taught enable the health professional to understand the health concerns of their clients.  Revolutionary muscle testing techniques give the practitioner confidence to properly assess the state of health for each client and recommend life style changes, herbal combinations, subtle energy devices and electronic equipment for use in achieving optimum health.

Students will learn how to conduct a health interview and the causes of disease.  A detailed analysis of muscle testing including theory, sensitivity, reliability, technique, and advantages will be taught. Additionally, students will learn how to use a muscle testing screening form and what the unwise uses of muscle testing are.
